After 40 days of “forced break” imposed by the lockdown rules, ITECNA S.p.A. returns to work at full capacity and above all in complete safety.
A global pandemic has shocked the lives of the world, radically changing our habits, from social life to working life.

When in ITALY the first cases of COVID-19 appeared, we immediately thought to guarantee maximum safety to our collaborators, and at the end of February we had already activated most of the “COVID-19 protocols”.

Masks, disposable gloves, sanitizing gel and social distancing allowed us to continue working in peace until the total lock down of March 25th, 2020.
We took advantage of the forced break period to organize online training courses where the managers of the various sectors, CAM, CAD, METROLOGY and CNC brilliantly taught the other team members the processes and software procedures of their area of expertise.

The return to the factory on May 4th seemed almost like the first day of school.
We were all excited and ready to finally start again.

Despite the general crisis, important projects in the automotive sector have continued on their development and we are currently involved in the design and construction of gauges and control gage for Maserati, Lamborghini and Fiat.

Of course, we have strengthened the COVID-19 safety protocols. At the entrance, we have set up a station with sanitizing gel and body temperature meter, with its suitability register. The technical office has been redesigned with plexiglass separators and currently 50% of the designers work in smart-working.
The operators in the metrology room already worked at the right distance, today for them little or nothing has changed except the obligation to wear the protective mask.

Even the administration is adapting, we have limited the access of staff and suppliers and customers to the company only if strictly necessary and are forced to comply with all our internal security protocols.
